FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) - The former Fall River dentist accused of placing paper clips inside the teeth of root canal patients faced a judge Thursday in New Bedford Superior Court .

Prosecutors say that former dentist Michael Clair used paper clips inside the teeth of root canal patients instead of stainless steel posts, while billing Medicaid for the more expensive parts.
